Crane Country Day School Established 1928

Gardens

Experiential learning comes alive in our gardens. Our garden trio: the upper garden, the lower garden, and the Crane Country Farm serve as outdoor classrooms to teach our students an appreciation of nature, put the fundamentals of the scientific method into practice, and hone their problem-solving skills. Children learn through feeling the soil on their hands, failed experiments, fast-growing beans, and cucumber taste tests, all the while filling our gardens with wide-eyed wonder and laughter.

Hands-on learning is at its best in a garden.
