We are a co-educational Kindergarten through Eighth Grade independent school located on 11 beautiful acres in Montecito, California. Founded in 1928, Crane School is the oldest day school in the area and delivers an experiential education characterized by a thoughtful balance of academic challenge and creative expression. We understand that how we teach is just as important as what we teach. Crane students physically, mentally, and emotionally engage with the subject matter. Our time-tested tradition of active and cooperative learning helps our students become skilled-problem solvers and independent thinkers who are able to draw from a strong foundation of knowledge and experience the joy of discovery.
The best way to learn about Crane is to schedule a personalized tour of our campus. We begin tours in October with most tours taking place in the morning so as to include our daily assembly at 9:45am. Alternate tour times are available. Please call (805) 969-7732 x127 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a tour.
We look forward to sharing our community with you.
