Crane Country Day School

Dollars for Drilling

A section of Crane's seventh graders is on their way to exceeding their goal of $5000 to help build well in Kenya.  The students learned about the need for a well in Lwanda from Crane science teacher Mr. von Phul, who visited the town with Engineers Without Borders while on sabbatical in 2009.  The students have presented their project to friends and family, Crane Staffulty, student body and parents in order to raise funds for "Dollars for Drilling." In addition, they recently held a dance to raise funds.  By presenting the project, the students were able to get pizza and deejay services donated.  Currently the students have raised $3964.50.
