Kindergarteners Egg-splore Water Density

As part of their farm study, Kindergarteners are studying about birds and eggs in science class.  Today, they were able to touch and examine ostrich and emu eggs as well as a variety of nests.  Then, they were split up in groups of four and asked to make a prediction about whether an egg would sink or float in water.  The kids then experimented with various levels of salt mixed in with the water to understand the way that salt affects water density.  "The more salt, the more it floats!" -exclaimed one Kindergartener.  What an egg-citing egg-speriment!
